Restore Natural Harmony
Ever heard, “our gut is our second brain” before? It’s because biologically, our gut microbiome is connected to our nervous system (brain, spinal cord, nerves)—and that means that state of our gut dictates a lot about the state of overall wellbeing. Repairing the gut can support the entire body, making us feel lighter, happier, healthier, and able to live our lives to the fullest. Our gut health and digestive health aren’t just about what we eat, though. They’re about what we take in on all levels and how well we assimilate and process that nourishment. This means, we’re “digesting” everything we eat, feel, think, see, hear, do, and experience throughout the day, and it all informs the way we live from day to day. Because of that, this protocol is designed to bring you easy-to-integrate knowledge, tools, and practices so that you take in things that nourish you more fully and process, integrate, and assimilate nutrients on every level—physical, emotional, mental, spiritual.
“Anyone who has experienced butterflies or knots in the stomach during episodes of stress does not need to be convinced that the nervous system and the digestive system are intimately related. Biologically, the gastrointestinal system of the human embryo develops as an outgrowth of the nervous system.” – Deepak Chopra

"To fix the brain, we first fix the gut" is a saying in Ayurvedic texts. In today’s world, it is relevant that we reboot the digestive system once in awhile and restore it with healthy microbes (gut flora). All people can benefit from healing the gut to optimize digestion and prevent illness. However, people with health conditions, such as acne or skin disorders, food allergies or autoimmune problems, digestive or metabolic disorders, mood swings or sluggish energy, cravings or weight gain, stress or sleep disorders, seasonal allergies or congestion, constipation or irregular bowel, feminine health or menstrual cycle discomfort, have been proven to dramatically reduce their symptoms and heal their systems.
We understand that committing to six-months of specialized health, diet, and lifestyle habits is not an easy undertaking, and we’re honored that you’re here. We know that habits are hard to break, and overtime we can become comfortable with many habits that don’t actually serve us in the long run. Because of these ingrained habits—with food, with lifestyle choices, with how we relate to ourselves, others and the world—we tend to accumulate certain behaviors and find ourselves in certain circumstances that can be detrimental to our health. Fortunately, habits are learned and can therefore be changed, and we can address our own healing from the root cause of our problems rather than just sticking a band-aid on the symptoms. That’s why it takes about six-months. Because Ayurveda teaches us to break down old habits, replace them with new ones, and put in motion a revitalization of the entire body and the mind, which is neither an easy task nor a quick fix. It requires attention, commitment, support, and a willingness to feel better, live better, and heal. Everything revolves around gut health, according to Ayurveda, so that’s one of the first places we will start as we set out on our six-month journey. Modern medicine now shows incredible research linking the gut as the source of thousands of diseases. We know that gut microbes are the powerhouses of everything from the production of energy to healthy immunity. For five-thousand plus years Ayurveda has shown us how to heal various ailments by looking at our individual gut health, and now Ayurveda is becoming a focus for research on health conditions related to obesity, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, strokes, and many more. In short, Ayurveda is an ancient practice with modern applications, and we will utilize Ayurvedic teachings with modern science as we move through this protocol. Our Gut Healing Protocol works to detoxify the body of accumulated toxins (Ama), restore healthy microbes in the gut, and unclog the intestinal tract, resulting in the proper assimilation of nutrients for a healthy body and clear mind.
In the first two months we focus on detoxification using food and herbs (based on your individual body type) that aid in removal of accumulated Ama (toxins) from the body. We then focus on restoration of healthy microbes (gut flora) for the next two months. Finally, we work on rejuvenation for the last two months.
Jyotish is a form of astrology that stems from the Vedic teachings, dating back thousands of years. It can help us understand planetary patterns and the way our own celestial make up (birth chart) informs our dharma, karma, relationships, finances—basically every aspect of our lives. It can also offer practical remedial measures for us to alleviate any personal areas of difficulty, or aspects of planetary influences that are hindering us in some way. Understanding your chart can bring clarity, guidance, direction, and support. Vedic Astrology is different, but similar to, Western Astrology.
